STEPHANIE R. ABRAHAMS

Stephanie Abrahams is a fine art painter living in lovely Laguna Beach, California. Although she was born and raised in Dallas, Texas and is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, she has embraced the year-round outdoor life in California by painting in the plein-air painting process at various locations throughout southern California. Working mostly by commission, she paints seascapes, landscapes, cityscapes, and the figure. The paintings can be created from a photo reference or on-site at the location of preference.

A sample of what you will see on the website are the plein-air seascapes and landscapes which are painted in an impasto style that is the result of using the palette knife.  Another series of paintings include landscapes and city views of european vacation spots.  In addition, paintings from an exhibition called "Americana" depict figures. mostly of women, from the '30's through the '80's enjoying the good life.  These figures are sketched-out and painted in vintage hues of oils and acrylics. COMING UP:  THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 2ND ART WALK PARTY @ Blast Consignment in South Laguna featuring some of my plein-air seascape paintings.  They are located at 1936 S. Coast Hwy. in Laguna Beach.  The event will run from 5pm unitl midnight.  There will be a jazz duo and cocktails and food as well....come celebrate with us!  Blast Consignment also sells $30 prints of my painting "Prohibition Ends" out of the store so drop by anytime to check out the new items of clothing, shoes, and jewelry that they get in and pick-up one of my prints as well.
